THE POSITION

Our DevOps Engineer will have a substantial role in the success of the company. This role will be an important part of our development team, where you are the link between our development and release teams as you are involved in the continuous development of our CD as well as CI and maintenance processes.

THE JOB

Our DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:

• Developing, supporting, and maintaining CI/CD and cloud platform solutions that will be secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Designing and developing computer software systems for various industries including, military, industrial, and commercial sectors.
• Troubleshooting and maintain the DevOps system.
• Creating flowcharts and other documentation to identify requirements for infrastructure and to propose possible solutions.
• Participating in improvements for processes and procedures internally to progress and standardize software solutions.
• Taking on challenging tasks as needed with an eagerness to develop code and skills in new areas.
• Performing software testing with a focus on procedures and programming.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

• Performing root cause analysis for production errors related to build, configuration and deployment.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience working as software engineer/DevOps Engineer
• Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
• Must have a passport and be a US. Citizen.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizations skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong teamwork, relationship building, and leadership skills.
• Extensive knowledge of software systems and programming languages such as Java, Web Development, Type Script/JS and Angular.
• Proficient with software engineering tools and applications.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience or working knowledge in deploying and managing applications using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of GitLab/Jenkins
• Experience in Maven/NPM, SonarQube, and other Java development tools
• Knowledge of SonarQube or other static code analysis tool sets
• Experience in scripting in different flavours
• Knowledge with Apache Tomcat, Kafka, Mongo and MongoDB
• SQL Server Strong Information Technology (IT) skills including experience in networking and TCP/IP
• Understanding of software development and implementation processes

A full-time, on-site position with 40 hours per week is being offered.
