Project Manager - Defence (Nordics, FST Gen)
Lead end-to-end delivery for a strategic Nordic defence program — clear planning, strong governance, and stakeholder partnership, with stability and growth.
About the role
As a Project Manager within 4C Strategies’ Nordics Defence Team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of Försvarsstabens Genomförandeavdelning (FST Gen), a long-term, high-volume engagement combining consultancy, technical implementation, and significant development activity.
FST Gen is a strategically important, multi-year programme operating in a complex and evolving defence environment. You will provide structured leadership across planning, coordination, financial control, and customer engagement — ensuring predictable delivery, clear prioritisation, and strong governance.
The role sits within 4C’s Defence delivery organisation and involves close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Consultancy, and Support teams. You will act as the primary customer interface for delivery matters, ensuring clarity between project leadership, technical implementation, and development responsibilities, and strengthening long-term scalability of the engagement.
Key responsibilities
• Own end-to-end delivery of the FST Gen engagement, ensuring structured planning, execution, governance, and successful outcomes.
• Develop and maintain clear project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
• Act as the primary delivery interface with the customer, providing structured reporting, expectation management, and clear escalation pathways.
• Ensure effective coordination between consultancy, implementation, and development teams, maintaining clear role boundaries and accountability.
• Establish and maintain predictable prioritisation across parallel workstreams, balancing delivery commitments with technical capacity.
• Monitor financial performance, supporting budget control, forecasting, and margin protection.
• Identify and manage risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to protect continuity and delivery stability.
• Support parallel initiatives within the Nordics portfolio, including feasibility and expansion activities, ensuring alignment without compromising core delivery.
• Contribute to strengthening delivery governance, frameworks, and best practices across the Nordics Defence business.
• Represent 4C professionally and exemplify disciplined, structured, and customer-focused programme leadership.
